Jimmy Daniels was going to be a star.
A Heisman Trophy, a National Championship, the first pick in the NFL Draft – all the stars aligned for him to become the next Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.
Except one. He couldn’t play.
Like so many college stars before him, Jimmy failed to successfully make the leap from college to pro ball, and ten years after his glory, Jimmy limped home from a season of 7-man football in Montana for fifty bucks a game to call it a career.
But like so many, Jimmy couldn’t stay away. When an expansion Arena Football League team declared open tryouts in his hometown, Jimmy took a chance.
Reunited with Daryl, his Ozzy Osborne-loving high school best friend and left tackle, the two lead a group of castoffs and misfits through a wild inaugural season that gives Jimmy one last shot at redemption.
