Quartermile

Chuck is a hardworking, hard drinking auto worker. Or he was.

When his plant is shuttered, and his job shipped off to another country, well into his fifties, Chuck has to start over.

After several tries, he lands a job at a fast-paced call center and struggles to keep up. It’s there he meets Zack, a troubled high-school drop-out.

At first the two have little to say to one another, but when their mutual love for fast cars surfaces, they quickly form a bond.

Chuck has found a surrogate for the son he never had, and Zack has the father figure he’s been looking for.

But that bond risks breaking when a figure from both their pasts returns, one that connects them in ways they never knew, and threatens the fragile friendship they’ve built.
