Hal Reynolds and Martin Dumbervil were the best of friends until the both fell for the same girl in high school.
From there, their lives took seperate paths: Hal became a respected left-wing lawyer for the ACLU, Martin a powerful right-wing lobbyist for the defense industry.
For years, they worked on opposite sides of the political spectrum, paths never crossing, until one day the mayor of their small town died unexpectedly.
To complicate matters, the candidates in the special election are a handpicked empty suit by Martin’s powerful father, and the girl they once fought over, Sarah Jo, hoping to win the election to save her father’s historic theatre from the wrecking ball of condo-progress.
When Hal and Martin unleash their political know-how on the small town of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, no one is safe from the mud slinging and dirty tricks.
