Thy Will Be Done

75 pages and two acts down in my football sports comedy screenplay. Goal – wrap it up this weekend. The outline is there, just doing the dialog. Hopefully 72 hours from now I’ll have #2 wrapped up and be taking a first pass at revisions.

Then, it’s on to screenplay #3. Woo-hoo. – originally posted on Schmuck on Wheels

All For Naught

As previously mentioned, I recently finished up a treatment for a sports comedy I’ve been working on. Of course, nothing is ever easy.

About a day after finishing it, ESPN reported that the Arena Football League had not released the 2009 schedule after several delays. Then, hours later, it was reported that the league had suspended operations for the 2009 season. Now, this is important, because a major part of my sports comedy is the AFL. So, now I feel like the guy who wrote the second volcano movie – you’re kidding me right, my idea is blown? Low and behold, the next day, the AFL announces it is not suspending the season, the divisions are being realigned and the New Orleans team is folding.

So, in 24 hours, I went from concern to OH SHIT to relief.

And what did I learn: nothing. – originally posted on Schmuck on Wheels
