Friday’s 5 Faves: Elvis Costello albums

For this week’s Friday’s 5 faves, I’m going with one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time – Elvis Costello. Elvis never ceases to amaze me – easily shifting from energetic punk rock tunes to piano torch songs to Americana rockabilly. Do I love every song he’s ever written? Nope, but his batting average is far better than most with a similar sized catalog.

And with that, my five favorite Elvis Costello albums:

#5. Blood and Chocolate (1986)

Friday 5 Faves: Debut Albums in the 2000s

For this week’s Friday 5 Faves, I decided to take a look back at the past decade, the 2000s, and find my five favorite debut albums. In looking back, it was actually a tough job narrowing down to five. Turns out it was a better decade than I remembered.

#5. Mars Volta – De-loused in the Comatorium (2003)
