A variety of Columbus Food Trucks have been making their way outside the city and campus area in recent months up to my work place in Dublin. Here’s a quick round up of the recent visits:
Los Jalapenos – sort of like a mobile Chipotle with burrios and tacos made to order right in front of you. Very tasty, good value for the dollar.
Pitabilities – a variety of takes on gyros. The original is good, but he Philly Cheese Steak is even better. Good bang for your buck.
The Pickled Swine – traditional and slightly augmented versions of deli sandwiches. Lots of meat is what I want, and that’s what I got.
The Pizza Cottage – standard pizza and sub selections, but they do them well, and that’s all I can ask for.
Green Meanie – tasty but slightly undersized portions. Could have used a few more bites in my bites.
Skyward Grille – old school cart with a diverse selection of subs, sandwiches, gyros and hot dogs. And the price is right.
Swoop! – thumbs up on the tasty Schnitzel Sticks, thumbs down on the unremarkable and overpriced sliders.
Red Plate Blue Plate – tasty po’boys are good, but the cheese grits are even better. Definitely worth checking out.
The Grub Gallery – panini paradise – tasty and priced right. Lots of options makes it even better.
Blu Olive – mildly disappointed, Bison burger pictures didn’t live up to the real thing with a sad bun and minimal toppings, but others raved about Salmon. Worth another shot.
