And, now on to what would be the second part of high school newspaper writing experience. My Senior year I ditched the column name and continued to write sports articles, along with the occasional opinion article about random stuff like politics or social issues. I also cowrote a regular column called “Sports Comment” with Christ Hastings. I think we were the co-editors of the sports department.
The titles continued to elude me, with mind-numbingly obvious stuff like “Smoking continues to be a problem” and “LA riots must not happen again.” I also managed to tick-off the student boy once again with my article “Pumpkin role changes needed.” Anyone familiar with Chagrin Falls will know exactly what that references.
